Healthway + Act Belong Commit

Regional Arts WA, Minderoo Foundation and Ian Potter Foundation

We're delighted to be working with Regional Arts WA and a range of arts organisations around regional Western Australia to build a connected network of arts hubs in WA.

Lotterywest

Greatly appreciated grants from Lotterywest helped us to purchase equipment for use at community workshops and events and at our community facilities. In 2021 and 2022 Lotterywest and DLGSC supported our artist residencies through their Creative Communities COVID-19 Recovery Program.

Culture and the Arts WA

Greatly appreciated funding from the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries supported school yarning workshops in 2018; the further development of our 10863 Bushranger exhibition in 2019; and our artist residencies in 2021, 2022  and 2023.

Mingenew CRC

We partnered with the Mingenew Community Resource Centre to run a CoderDojo school holiday program in 2019, for community days in Mingenew during 2021; and are collaboratively creating The Exchange+Gallery in Mingenew together in 2022 and 2023.

North Midlands Project is supported through the Regional Arts Sector Investment (RASI) program by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, the Royalties for Regions funded Regional Arts and Cultural Investment Program and Regional Arts WA.

North Midlands Project would also like to acknowledge that from 2024 to 2027 we will be supported by the Government of Western Australia's Arts Organisatuon Investment Program (AOIP) through Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries.

Multiple of our projects have been made possible through the Regional Exhibition Touring Boost managed by the Department of Local Government Sport and Cultural Industries, supported by Royalties for Regions and delivered in partnership by ART ON THE MOVE and the Art Gallery of Western Australia. This includes two rounds of improvements to The Bank Gallery, two funded Arts Administration traineeships, and two activating collections residencies across 2021 and 2022.

Multiple of our projects were supported by the Australian Government's Regional Arts Fund, which supports the arts in regional and remote Australia.

In 2021 the Regional Arts Fund supported our Community Days; and the creative recreation of the heritage board-game 'Wheat Convoy' into a 6x6 metre giant game. In 2022 we received support for the printing and production of our Ebb+Flow exhibition; and support through the Cultural Tourism Accelerator Program. 

Supported by the Australian Government’s Culture, Heritage and Arts Regional Tourism (CHART) program, we were able to undertake significant improvements to our gallery lighting systems at The Exchange in Carnamah in 2022.

Working with the Carnamah Historical Society and Mingenew Community Resource Centre, the CHART program also supported a range of new equipment for the Carnamah Museum, Macpherson Homestead, and for The Exchange+Gallery in Mingenew.

Bright Energy Investments

Our many thanks to Bright Energy Investments for supporting the purchase of a giant inflatable screen in 2020, which has been used for outdoor community movies, and for supporting the purchase of digtal equipment in 2022.

Carnamah Historical Society & Museum

We partner with the Carnamah Historical Society to utilise their museum, local history and the Macpherson Homestead in our events and residencies; and in the development of the Biographical Dictionary of Coorow, Carnamah and Three Springs.

Good Things Foundation

Through their BeConnected program, the Good Things Foundation has guided and supported the delivery of digital training and engagement events at our Digital Learning Hub within The Exchange in Carnamah since 2018, including support for Get Online Week events and the purchase of tablets.

Australian Government

The Exchange was renovated to be more useful and beneficial to the community in 2019, made possible with funding from the Australian Government through the Building Better Regions Fund. Improvements included air conditioning, solar power, decking, and the replacement of windows.

Digital Lift

Our thanks to Digital Lift for providing us with a free license of project management tool Monday.com and for a Software Grant in 2022 towards other digital software licenses.

Meerilinga Foundation

Our thanks to Meerilinga Foundation for supporting Children's Week events in Carnamah in 2021; and in Three Springs and Geraldton in 2022.

NAB Foundation

Through their Community Grants, NAB Foundation generously contributed to solar upgrades and the installation of an off-grid battery at our multipurpose arts and community venue The Exchange in Carnamah in 2022.

GIVIT

We're very appreciative of vouchers provided by GIVIT to purchase equipment for The Exchange+Gallery in Mingenew and The Exchange in Carnamah.

City of Greater Geraldton

Our many thanks to the City for their support and for the in-kind use in 2018, 2019 and 2020 of part of the Visitors Centre in Geraldton, which allowed us to undertake free exhibitions, launches and artist talks; for engaging us to run activation activities in Geraldton's Rocks Laneway in 2019, 2020 and 2021; and for supporting our Creative Lab workshops in 2023.

We were honoured to be one of eight organisations selected for the co-funded 2017 Capacity Building Program for Western Australian arts organisations.

We greatly appreciate the Shire for their in-kind contributions towards establishing The Exchange in Carnamah in 2018; for rate exemption of The Exchange, Artist House VII and our storage shed Deep Store in Carnamah; and for providing in-kind accommodation during our peak in artist residencies in early 2023.

Art on the Move

We were delighted to partner with Art on the Move in the local delivery of a statewide art project that promoted the Act Belong Commit message in 2018; and more recently with projects supported by the Regional Exhibition Touring Boost.

Greatly valued support from CBH Group in 2017 facilitated the initial development and opening of our community space and arts studio The Exchange in Carnamah; and for renovations to The Exchange+Gallery in Mingenew in 2022.

Minderoo Foundation

Scribes of North Midlands

We are pleased to provide The Exchange in Carnamah as the home of writing group Scribes of North Midlands and thank them for their written contributions to our exhibitions and events from 2018 to 2022.

Department of Health

We were pleased to deliver a Maternal Mental Health Day event with support from the Department of Health's Statewide Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Program.

Australia Post

Australia Post's Community Grants Program supported our creative community days held in Carnamah, Coorow, Mingenew, Morawa, Perenjori and Three Springs in 2021.

Kleenheat

Our thanks to Kleenheat for awarding one of their 2022 Community Grants to the North Midlands CoderDojo run weekly out of The Exchange in Carnamah.

Waste Authority

The Waste Authority supported the delivery of an annual program of Creative Lab workshops and events in Geraldton across 2022. These workshops encouraged creativity while educating the community on waste diversion and reduction.

Astrotourism

We partner with Astrotourism for 'Under the Stars' events and exhibitions that combine the wonders of the night sky with local heritage and the arts.

atWork Australia

We were delighted to work with atWork Australia from 2015 to 2022 to facilitate the transcription and indexing of heritage material from the North Midlands, Mid West and across Western Australia, much of which has been made freely available on the website of the Carnamah Historical Society & Museum.

Shire of Morawa

We were pleased to work with the Shire of Morawa on the implementation of their heritage trial and the installation of historic photos in shop-front windows  in 2018; and to contribute to their biennial art exhibition and NAIDOC events.

Perenjori CRC

Our thanks to the Perenjori Community Resource Centre for allowing us to attend and run arts workshops at their Community Market Days; and for collaborating with us in the delivery of a number of community and creative workshops.

We've been delighted to work with Yarns R Us for the delivery of yarning, tracking and community canvas workshops across the Mid West region.

Shire of Coorow

We were honoured to work with the Shire of Coorow and Mid West artist Marina Baker for the creation of a large-scale community mural on Main Street, Coorow in 2019; and to contribute music and creative workshops to their events in Leeman in 2022.

North Midlands Agricultural Society

We are honoured to partner and support the North Midlands Agricultural Society on local events, workshops and exhibitions since 2017.

Lions Club of Carnamah

Our many thanks to the Lions Club of Carnamah for supporting a range of our local events and providing funds to improve publically accessible internet across our facilities in Carnamah. 

Morawa District Historical Society Museum

We are pleased to have worked with the Morawa District Historical Society since 2019 to host events and workshops at their museum; and thank them for their help in the creation of the Heritage Trail in Morawa.

WA Primary Health Alliance

We were honoured to work with WA Primary Health Alliance over a twelve month period across parts of 2021 and 2022 on an Alliance Against Depression project.
