Create in Company meets at The Exchange on Wednesdays 10am to 1pm, free digital coaching is available on Thursdays 10am to midday, and Boomerang Bags and writing group Scribes of North Midlands get together on alternating Thursday afternoons.

Bedan is the indigenous name for Winchester, the southern part of the Carnamah district. Lou Parker, who had the house built in 1921, had previously farmed at Winchester for 14 years.
