We are supported by the Government of Western Australia's Arts Organisation Investment Program (AOIP) from 2024 to 2028.
Other greatly appreciated funding supported school yarning workshops in 2018; the expansion of our 10863 Bushranger exhibition in 2019; our artist residencies in 2021, 2022 and 2023; expanded gallery programming from 2024-25 to 2026-27; and the building of an art collection storage facility in 2025-26.
Healthway
We're proud to partner with Healthway to foster healthy connected communities and vibrant, liveable towns (across the communities of the North Midlands and further afield).
Annual programs of creative activities focused on promoting the Act Belong Commit message from 2017 to 2025, and are presently centred on using the arts to build the social and emotional wellbing of young people with The Kids Research Institute Australia's SEW-Arts framework.
National Indigenous Australians Agency
Our thanks to NIAA for allowing us to be part of their New Jobs Program Trial in 2024-25 and for inclusion in their Remote Jobs & Economic Program from 2025-26 to 2027-28, which facilitates us to play a role in community-driven employment opportunities in regional Western Australia.
Mid West Development Commission
We're thankful to Mid West Development Commission, who has partnered with us on multiple projects including community and tourism events in the North Midlands, multiple expansions to the exhibition Women of the Hinterlands, community canvases with Ron Bradfield Jnr, the book Life & Times of the North Midlands, and our creative multicultural playgroup in Geraldton.
Lotterywest
Greatly appreciated grants from Lotterywest have helped us to purchase equipment for use at community workshops and events, and at our community facilities.
In 2021 and 2022 Lotterywest, through the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, supported our artist residencies through their Creative Communities COVID-19 Recovery Program.
West Australian Opera
We have partnered with West Australian Opera to bring multiple rounds of outreach performances to schools in the Mid West and performances to The Exchange in Carnamah.
In 2025 and 2026 we are collaborating on the delivery of the YOUnity project to transform the perspectives of regional WA LGBTIQA+ youth into two new songs.
The Kids Research Institute Australia
We worked with The Kids Research Institute Australia (formerly the Telethon Kids Institute) and Healthway to trial and help refine their SEW-Arts framework, which works to design strategic workshops that impart creative skills while also building the social and emotional wellbeing of young people. The framework is increasingly utilised across our programming.
DADAA
We have been pleased to co-deliver workshops and other activities in collaboration witrh DADAA since 2023.
We collaborated with DADAA on their Ink+Thread project in 2024 and 2025, and we are touring the resulting exhibition to multiple venues across 2026.
Mingenew CRC
Together with the Mingenew Community Resource Centre we're pleased to have jointly developed and operate The Exchange+Gallery in Mingenew, which opened in 2023.
We previously partnered with the Mingenew CRC to run a CoderDojo school holiday program in 2019 and for community days in Mingenew during 2021.
Spaced
We're thankful to Spaced for allowing us the honour of hosting one of their Rural Utopias residencies, with Tina Stefanou joining us in 2022 and 2023; and a Circular Economies residency with Ilona McGuire and later Zali Morgan spending time with us in 2025-26.
Gardiner Street
Arts Collective
We were stoked to be working with Gardiner Street Arts Collective stretching our residencies, workshops and exhibitions based in the North Midlands to also engage with the communities of Moora and some of its neighbours from 2024 to 2027.
Carnamah Historical Society & Museum
We partner with the Carnamah Historical Society to utilise their museum, local history and the Macpherson Homestead in our events and residencies; and in the development of the Biographical Dictionary of Coorow, Carnamah and Three Springs.
Multiple of our projects have been made possible through the Government of Western Australia's Regional Exhibition Touring Boost, managed by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, supported by Royalties for Regions, and delivered in partnership by ART ON THE MOVE and the Art Gallery of Western Australia. This includes three rounds of improvements to The Bank Gallery through the Regional Public Galleries Improvement Fund in 2021, 2022 and 2023; two funded Arts Administration traineeships; and three activating collections residencies in 2021, 2022 and 2025 - when we were joined by artists Martien van Zuilen, Sujora Conrad, and Naomie Hatherley.
Shire of Carnamah
We greatly appreciate the Shire for their in-kind contributions towards establishing The Exchange in Carnamah in 2018; for ongoing rate exemption of The Exchange, Artist House and our storage shed Deep Store in Carnamah; and for providing in-kind accommodation during a peak in artist residencies in early 2023.
Good Things Foundation
Through their BeConnected program, the Good Things Foundation has guided and supported the delivery of digital training and engagement events at our Digital Learning Hub within The Exchange in Carnamah since 2018, including support for Get Online Week events and the purchase of tablets.
Shire of Coorow
We were honoured to work with the Shire of Coorow and Mid West artist Marina Baker for the creation of a large-scale community mural on Main Street, Coorow in 2019; to contribute music and creative workshops to their events in Leeman in 2022; and to host exhibitions and workshops at their Co-op Gallery in Coorow from 2025.
Regional Arts WA, Minderoo Foundation and Ian Potter Foundation
We are a member of the Regional Arts Network, led by Regional Arts WA, and undertook the Ebb+Flow experiences tour across Western Australia between 2023 and 2025 with the support of Regional Arts WA and Healthway, promoting the Act Belong Commit message.
Shire of Morawa
We were pleased to work with the Shire of Morawa on the implementation of their heritage trial and the installation of historic photos in shop-front windows in 2018; to contribute to their biennial art exhibition and annual Mid West NAIDOC event; and to show exhibitions at their Arts & Cultural Centre since 2025.
Scribes of North Midlands
We are pleased to provide The Exchange in Carnamah as the home of writing group Scribes of North Midlands and thank them for their written contributions to our exhibitions and events from 2018. We were pleased to help publish their book Life and Times in the North Midlands in 2025, with support from Mid West Development Commission.
Meerilinga Foundation
Our thanks to Meerilinga Foundation for supporting Children's Week events in Carnamah in 2021; in Three Springs and Geraldton in 2022; and Carnamah and Geraldton in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
Shire of Perenjori + Public Benefit Trust
Our thanks to the Shire of Perenjori and Mount Gibson Mining for their contribution to our arts-based programs in 2018; and to the Shire for free use of their facilities for local events, especially use of their Town Hall for exhibitions since 2024.
Our Here+Now series of artist residencies that occured in 2023 and 2024 were supported by the Community Participation and Inclusion Program thanks to the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries and the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development.
North Midlands Project was supported through the Regional Arts Sector Investment (RASI) program by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, the Royalties for Regions funded by the Regional Arts and Cultural Investment Program and Regional Arts WA from 2021 to 2024.
Multiple of our projects were supported by the Australian Government's Regional Arts Fund, which supports the arts in regional and remote Australia, through Regional Arts WA.
In 2021 the Regional Arts Fund supported our Community Days; and the creative recreation of the heritage board-game 'Wheat Convoy' into a 6x6 metre giant game. In 2022 we received support for the printing and production of our Ebb+Flow exhibition; and support through the Cultural Tourism Accelerator Program.
Supported by the Australian Government’s Culture, Heritage and Arts Regional Tourism (CHART) program, we were able to undertake significant improvements to our gallery lighting systems at The Exchange in Carnamah in 2022.
Working with the Carnamah Historical Society and Mingenew Community Resource Centre, the CHART program also supported a range of new equipment for the Carnamah Museum, Macpherson Homestead, and for The Exchange+Gallery in Mingenew.
WA Primary Health Alliance
We were honoured to work with WA Primary Health Alliance over a twelve month period across parts of 2021 and 2022 on an Alliance Against Depression project.
NAB Foundation
Through their Community Grants, NAB Foundation generously contributed to solar upgrades and the installation of an off-grid battery at our multipurpose arts and community venue The Exchange in Carnamah in 2022.
Digital Lift
Our thanks to Digital Lift for providing us with a free license of project management tool Monday.com and for a Software Grant in 2022 towards other digital software licenses.
CBH Group
Greatly valued support from CBH Group in 2017 facilitated the initial development and opening of our community space and arts studio The Exchange in Carnamah; and for renovations to The Exchange+Gallery in Mingenew in 2022.

Australian Government
The Exchange was renovated to be more useful and beneficial to the community in 2019, made possible with funding from the Australian Government through the Building Better Regions Fund. Improvements included air conditioning, solar power, decking, and the replacement of windows.
Bright Energy Investments
Our many thanks to Bright Energy Investments for supporting the purchase of a giant inflatable screen in 2020, which has been used for outdoor community movies, and for supporting the purchase of digital equipment for our learning hub within The Exchange in Carnamah in 2022.
Art on the Move
We were delighted to partner with Art on the Move in the local delivery of a statewide art project that promoted the Act Belong Commit message in 2018; and more recently with projects supported by the Regional Exhibition Touring Boost.

Our thanks to Kleenheat for awarding one of their 2022 Community Grants to the North Midlands CoderDojo run weekly out of The Exchange in Carnamah.
Waste Authority
The Waste Authority supported the delivery of an annual program of Creative Lab workshops and events in Geraldton across 2022. These workshops encouraged creativity while educating the community on waste diversion and reduction.
Astrotourism
We partner with Astrotourism for 'Under the Stars' events and exhibitions that combine the wonders of the night sky with local heritage and the arts.
atWork Australia
We were delighted to work with atWork Australia from 2015 to 2022 to facilitate the transcription and indexing of heritage material from the North Midlands, Mid West and across Western Australia, much of which has been made freely available on the website of the Carnamah Historical Society & Museum.
Perenjori CRC
Our thanks to the Perenjori Community Resource Centre for allowing us to attend and run arts workshops at their Community Market Days; and for collaborating with us in the delivery of a number of community and creative workshops.
City of Greater Geraldton
