Healthway + Act Belong Commit
We're proud to partner with Healthway to promote the Act Belong Commit message through our annual Community Strengthening Program of over 300 workshops, exhibitions, performances and events held across the North Midlands, Geraldton and in metro Perth. Regional Arts WA, Minderoo Foundation and Ian Potter Foundation
We're delighted to be working with Regional Arts WA and a range of arts organisations around regional Western Australia to build a connected network of arts hubs in WA.
Culture and the Arts WA
Greatly appreciated funding from the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries supported school yarning workshops in 2018; the further development of our 10863 Bushranger exhibition in 2019; and our arts residency programs in 2021 and 2022.
Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal (FRRR)
Our many thanks to FRRR and their donor partner Australia Post for their support in 2021 towards the cooling of the large workshop area of The Exchange in Carnamah, making the entire building useful throughout the year.
North Midlands Project is supported through the Regional Arts Sector Investment program by the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, the Royalties for Regions funded Regional Arts and Cultural Investment Program and Regional Arts WA.
Multiple of our projects have been made possible through the Regional Exhibition Touring Boost managed by the Department of Local Government Sport and Cultural Industries, supported by Royalties for Regions and delivered in partnership by ART ON THE MOVE and the Art Gallery of Western Australia. This includes two improvements to The Bank Gallery, a funded Arts Administration traineeship, and two activating collections residencies in 2021 and 2022.
Supported by the Australian Government’s Culture, Heritage and Arts Regional Tourism (CHART) program, we were able to undertake significant improvements to our gallery lighting systems in 2022.
Shire of Carnamah
We greatly appreciate the Shire for their in-kind contributions towards establishing The Exchange in Carnamah in 2018; and for rate exemption of The Exchange, Artist House VII and our storage shed Deep Store.
Art on the Move
We were delighted to partner with Art on the Move in the local delivery of a statewide art project that promoted the Act Belong Commit message in 2018.
Sidney Myer Fund, Minderoo Foundation and Spinifex Trust
We were honoured to be one of eight organisations selected for the co-funded 2017 Capacity Building Program for Western Australian arts organisations.
City of Greater Geraldton
Our many thanks to the City for their support and for the in-kind use in 2018, 2019 and 2020 of part of the Visitors Centre in Geraldton, which allowed us to undertake free exhibitions, launches and artist talks; and for engaging us to run activation activities in Geraldton's Rocks Laneway in 2019, 2020 and 2021.
Good Things Foundation
Through their BeConnected program, the Good Things Foundation has guided and supported the delivery of digital training and engagement events at our digital Learning Hub within The Exchange in Carnamah since 2018.
The Exchange was renovated to be more useful and beneficial to the community in 2019, made possible with funding from the Australian Government through the Building Better Regions Fund.
Shire of Morawa
We were pleased to work with the Shire of Morawa on the implementation of their heritage trial and the installation of historic photos in shop-front windows in 2018; and to contribute to their biennial art exhibition and NAIDOC events.
Our thanks to visual artist Di Taylor for being our first contracted artist-in-residence and for the profound impact she had on our workshops, programs and collection in 2017.
Scribes of North Midlands
We are pleased to provide The Exchange as the home of writing group Scribes of North Midlands and thank them for their written contributions to our exhibitions and events.
From 2019 to 2021 we partnered with MEEDAC to deliver the Community Development Program (CDP) for people from Carnamah and Coorow, which facilitates arts and community improvement projects.
We partnered with the Mingenew Community Resource Centre to run a CoderDojo school holiday program during 2019, for community days in Mingenew during 2021; and are co-creating The Exchange Mingenew together in 2022.
We're pleased to have worked with the Fogarty Foundation in establishing and delivering CoderDojo for youth of the North Midlands at The Exchange in Carnamah.
Shire of Perenjori + Public Benefit Trust
Our thanks to the Shire of Perenjori and Mount Gibson Mining for their contribution to our arts-based programs in 2018; and to the Shire for free use of their facilities for local events.
We work with atWork Australia to facilitate the transcription and indexing of heritage material from the North Midlands, Mid West and across Western Australia.
Shire of Coorow
We were honoured to work with the Shire of Coorow and Mid West artist Marina Baker for the creation of a large-scale community mural on Main Street, Coorow in 2019.
Our thanks to the Perenjori Community Resource Centre for allowing us to attend and run arts workshops at their Community Market Days.
