Setting up and holding a safe space
What are pronouns - using pronouns
Gender vs sexuality
Facilitators are not counsellors/health professionals
Pointers if a participant becomes uncomfortable
Social media is a powerful tool for engaging young people, parents, and professionals working with young people, especially those who identify as LGBTIQA+ and living regionally. However, in the current climate of increased anti-LGBTIQA+ rhetoric, particularly around events for young people under 18, it’s essential to use these platforms thoughtfully and with care.
