The Bird Makers Project is a global initiative devised by Raewyn Hill and Naoko Yoshimoto with Co:3 Australia. Suitable for beginner and advanced sewers, you will be guided through online resources to create a single black bird made from your own donated piece of black clothing. These black birds will represent your time in isolation as we stand side by side in an unimagined situation, making history together.

the Sketchbook project

Order a sketchbook, fill it up, and send it back to be a part of the world’s largest collection of artist sketchbooks! Every participant is sent the same 5x7'' blank custom sketchbook. Each book will be given a unique six-digit barcode so we can easily catalog it into Brooklyn Art Library's system.

Paper prawn pattern by lisa lloyd

London-based artist Lisa Lloyd is offering an amusing tutorial to create her tiny paper prawns at home. The downloadable instructions, which are available for free on her site, are complete with a printable template and a supply list. She also released a simple video series for those who prefer visual learning.

Conversations With Rain

Conversations with Rain has been created by Art Gallery of WA Learning and ECU School of Education exploring children’s creative relations with the weather as a way of potentially transforming our climate futures. Click here to download.


Print out copies for each member of your family or household and follow the prompts (ACT, BELONG), listen to the sound files provided as you respond to the prompts in the Conversations with Rain journal.
